CFD Broker IG land two gongs at prestigious awards
FTSE 250 listed CFD broker, IG, won two awards at the annual Investment and Wealth Awards, organised by Investors Chronicle and the Financial Times. The 20th year that the awards have been held, the 2015 ceremony was held at Plaisterers’ Hall in London, back in November.
Awards are decided by way of a public vote (more specifically the readership of Investors Chronicle and the FT), so winning an award is a strong vote of confidence from existing customers.
The London based broker picked up the “Best CFD provider” award. The judges noted that particular strengths were the depth of markets offered, including bonds, indices and foreign exchange, and the risk management facilities made available to traders. The stop loss, limit orders and price alert functions, all contributed to clients having confidence that they could control risk to meet their own trading needs.

In addition to the CFD award, IG also won the “Best Trading App“. A free to download trading application, it provides some stand out features, including the ability to trade directly from a price chart, without having to leave the technical analysis area. As noted in our review, charting is a huge strength with IG, and they have ported that great functionality to their trading app too.
In addition to winning two awards, IG were also nominated in other areas. They were shortlisted for “Best Forex Provider” and also “Best Spread Betting Provider“. It is worth reiterating that these nominees, and winners, were decided by readers – not a panel of industry judges. Many of the plus points noted by those casting votes, are also features that or review picks out as highlights, such as the range of products and markets available to trade, as well as the comprehensive charting tools and industry leading trading app.
IG has long been the most recognised UK brand for CFD and Forex trading, and it is clear from these recent awards, that clients are still very happy with the quality of service provided – and that the brand continue to innovate and improve their offering.
